The Public Theater’s production of Wild With Happy, written by and starring Tony nominee Colman Domingo, has announced a one-week extension. The Robert O’Hara-helmed play will end its run on November 18 instead of its originally scheduled November 11 end date.
Wild With Happy stars Domingo, Sharon Washington, Korey Jackson and Maurice McRae in a story about a man named Gil (Domingo) who struggles to cope with the death of his mother. As Gil faces the decision of where to scatter her ashes, he finds comfort and confusion in a host of peculiar characters who help him through his dark journey.
The play opened on October 23 at the newly-renovated Public Theater, and is set to have its West Coast premiere in June 2013, following the off-Broadway run.
